Been a good couple of months for all the services & systems I’ve been looking out – particularly for Betting Pro Trades which I started following with a live account 3 weeks ago and which has now increased by 80%.

These are the systems/services which have performed well during July & August

Black Dog

 

Black Dog has continued to perform consistently over the last 2 months with July producing 263 pips and the notoriously difficult month of August producing 210 pips. Its been a full 12 months now since I started using the Black Dog system and in that time its produced well over 3500 pips.  I changed my approach slightly in October last year and since then its produced 2873 pips. Its never had a losing month and in fact the longest losing run in days is 3.

My approach with Black Dog is low risk (1 : 1 ratio) and the potential for compounding the stakes because of this means that you can quickly build your stakes.

Betting Pros

I’ve attached the email sent out by Betting Pros regarding the service for the next 12 months. No hesitation in recommending this service as I have used it personally for the last 7 months with great success. Please click here for full results history

While I have received many re subscription payments already this is really a final notice that if you want the new season selections starting from September 1st for the price of £39.99 you will need to subscribe before the end of the month.

My service is profitable and very low cost but for the new season the price from September 1st 2010 will be £45.99 simply because of the amount of admin and effort I put into making this a success.

Betting Pro Trades

This has been far & away one of the best new services I’ve come across in the last few months. In 3 weeks the bank has grown over 80% with next to no effort. You basically get the email, place the trades and have the option of leaving them (like me) or watching the games live and ‘trading out’ to maximise profit. The trades are placed in such a way that a certain amount of ‘trading out’ is built into them but the point is you could monitor the games live for even more profit.

 

Starting bank of £1000 now standing at £1812.75 - the nice thing about the service as well is that the trades are relatively low liability so a loser isnt going to put too much of a dent in the bank. Highly recommended

Grey Horse Bot

This is the market leading ‘betting bot’ software which will automatically place bets for you whilst you’re out at work etc. and can be used in conjunction with systems such as Betfair Pirate (see below).

You can either manually select horses/greyhounds for it to bet on or you can input certain criteria for the bot to look out for and bet once it finds them. Also can be set to monitor for ‘drifters’ and ‘steamers’ in the market.  More info re signing up for the Grey Horse Bot here.

Winning Dow Signals

 

Good solid couple of months for the WDS service overall – the 9pm Dow Signal made around £259 @ the recommended stakes (this can obviously be compounded month on month) but it was very quiet on the Sunday Gap trades with not a single one.

Their intra day forex alerts are now showing as being 1900 pips up – they’re also in the early stages if trialling larger profit target tips.  Not 100% sure you always get advised about the losing trades by email whereas you do get every winning trade instantly confirmed. This is not a massive problem as they are still very profitable but just an observation.

Betfair Pirate

 

As soon as I mentioned this system in the last email it apparently had a bit of a nightmare run with one subscriber losing a fair percentage of his bank. It then went on an incredible run of 45 consecutive winning lays.  Had losers since but the subscriber who kindly kept me informed of his daily results is still ahead with it overall.

 

1minutedaily

Again it continues to be a roller coaster ride with the 1minutedaily EA – it reached a high of $18,000+ a week or so ago but has since dropped to just in excess of $14,000. My approach is 90% EA and 10% me closing the trades when they get close to the ‘take profit’ level.  Seems to have worked well for me with the demo bank with the bank increasing by 300% since April.

Still highly recommend it as a long term profitable ‘hands off’ system though from what I’ve seen from back-testing this system, my experience in actually trading it myself and the experiences of a 1minutedaily long term trader, together with the fact that it costs about £56 with a cast iron refund guarantee.  Highly recommend this system. Other stuff

WDFX

Technical problems meant I was kindly offered a free 2 week trial of the VPS with WDFX which has now finished.  This worked v.smoothly and I made a small profit (not enough to cover the subscription though).  Full details of the service are here http://www.wdfx.co.uk/index-2.html . As pointed out previously it isnt the cheapest service available @ £125 per month but hopefully the performance will start to pick up after the August lull. Don’t think it’s a service for those of us with a £500 or £1000 account who are looking to slowly grow the bank because your risk % to cover the monthly fees would be too great.

Systems & Service Review For May

Another month gone by but not too many changes in the services/systems i’ve been using. Black Dog and 1minutedaily have continued to perform impressively and the relative newcomer 1minutedaily looks like a ‘keeper’ for the ongoing portfolio. Betting Pros has been quiet but thats to be expected with the football season now finished although a recent email suggests there may be some action over the next month or so with the start of the World Cup.

AJ Tips

After a poor run the operator of this service decided to throw the towel in and thats it for that one.

Regular Forex Profits

After recording good profits for the 6 months prior to me starting the review this service has had 3 consecutive losing months with losses of 740 points. It is also down for this month so far and I think its about time to bring this review to a close. Honest enough service & we may have just been unlucky with the timing of the review.

These are the systems/services which have performed well during the trial plus an update on Black Dog Forex which I’ve been using since August.

1minutedaily

This system continues to perform well. Last week I was away & left the EA running on the demo account, came home on Friday and the account was up $2910 & up to $10,710 from the original $5000 in just less than 8 weeks.

 

Not 100% sure i’ve got the EA settings correct so i’m going to keep watching the trades this week to make sure the entry/exits are accurately kicking in but right or wrong i’m not going to complain about the bank more than doubling in less than 2 months with something that requires no input or chart time.

 

So from what I’ve seen from back-testing this system, my experience in actually trading it myself and the experiences of a 1minutedaily long term trader, together with the fact that it costs about £56 with a cast iron refund guarantee I can highly recommend this system. Black Dog

 

Black Dog has continued to perform as it has since I started using the sytem last August and made around 1968 pips with another 342 pips in the last 4 weeks. 

Trading this is basically what I do everyday and everything else I use is just in addition to it. The actual system itself hasn’t since then but my trading rules have and if anyones interested what I’ve recently settled on they’re listed here. (any queries just email me here).

In addition to the outstanding customer service, a system that works and a forum with well over a 1000 members listing details of their own trades etc the cost includes a trading room with members who use the system for a  full time income flagging up potential trades  for others.

The cost has now increased to a more realistic $297 but if you use this link I can arrange a $50 rebate.

  

Betting Pros

Not a great deal of progress this month with Betting Pros but i’m now 889  points up since starting at the end of January. As previously mentioned quiet last few week with season finishing but expecting a lot of action in the World Cup & soon after that the season will start again.

Just to confirm as well they have now added a free SMS text service to advise you immediately of the bets. The service has been now been reduced to just  £25 until end of August which will cover the end of the season, the World Cup and the start of next season. Cant recommend this service highly enough – more info here.

 

 

Grey Horse Bot

The guys behind GHB have started including a couple of laying services they are trialling at the moment. Apparently they’re doing very well & as this is the market leading ‘betting bot’ software which will automatically place bets for you whilst you’re out at work etc. it seems like a good deal.

Winning Dow Signals

Bit of a mixed bag from WDS over the last month – they recently had a really poor run on the set & forget forex signals but the 9pm Dow Signals made over £400 last month from the recommended stakes which are on average about £1.50 per point.

Their intra day forex alerts are showing as being 1000 pips up but i’m not sure how much you’d have to take off that figure for the length of time it takes you to get on a trade the operators of the service are already in.

 

Only been 1 set of Sunday night gap trades since the last review which gained around 30 pips – been a couple of Bank Holidays in that period so there may be more regular trades from now on.

Other stuff

Managed Forex Account

 

I’m also looking at a ‘managed forex account’ which someone has recommended to me. Apparently its a guy who’s traded professionally for 15 years making the trades & he takes 25% of the profits each month. The minimum starting capital is $500. You set your own account up with a broker and have total control over the deposit and withdrawl side of the account. You can access your account every day to check on its progress.

Target is 20% per month and the average has been 23% this year. I’ll give it a go and keep you informed.

Forex4free

The ‘balance’ in my Forex4free account is now @ $73.15 & I’m on target for the $500 by the beginning of December. For those of you who don’t know this is a scheme which involves no investment from us but promises a regular payout once your balance reaches a set threshold.  All seems too good to be true but as long as all I’m losing is an email address and a bit of time I’m going along with it. Something totally different - Forex4free

Just wanted to share something with you that one of the blog subscribers brought to my attention. Its something i’ve not come across before but apparently this scheme was run successfully in 2009.

Forex4free is a concept which is based on large investors placing $500 into an account for you. This amount is then traded on your behalf until it reaches $1500 – at this point it becomes yours to withdraw or you can place it into a brokerage account of their choosing where the $1500 is then traded until it reaches $7500. at this point any profit made over and above the $7500 is paid to you on a monthly basis. A figure of $3500 monthly is quoted on the site which will obviously be dependent on the markets but I assume they know what level of trading they will be carrying out with $7500 accounts.

Took me some time to get my head round this because I couldnt understand why they would be giving money away to small investors but apparently it does make sense from a tax loophole point of view. In any case this is totally risk free – no investment required on our part whatsover, no time input to place any trades so it does seem to be a great oppurtunity to try something which if it comes off great and if it doesnt we havent lost anything.

As I say they did run a scheme last year and this & it was apparently a massive success. The site has been totally revamped & the level if the initial gift increased from $200 to $500. There does seem to be a great deal of interest in it & the site currently shows 2200 people ‘viewing’ and ‘400′ memebers online. If you recruit people it will mean that you reach the $1500 level quicker but its not essential – you will get there in about 200 days anyway apparently.

The site can occasionally default to German depending where you’re navigating to but its straightforward enough to choose the English version. I always find this really good @ focusing  me on my trading goals and its always good to see that a small number of pips daily/weekly can grow to your main income if you have the right system, mental attitude & money management.  This one allows you to enter an income to take out each month so you get a realistic projection of where you could be in 12 months.

Update on Winning Dow Signals

Winning Dow Signals is a service we looked at for a few months in the Summer.  The intra day support & resistance line trading was very impressive & i only stopped using this service for 2 reasons; it did require you to be able to watch the charts all day & i came across Black Dog Forex trading.

Winning Dow Signals offer a number of different signals now - the Intra Day Levels, Intra Day Alerts, 9 pm Signal, Set & Forget Forex signals and Overnight Forex Scalps - so i feel that its time to go back to reviewing this service.  There are a few of those services which may be ideal to run alongside the Black Dog Trading ie the 9pm Dow signal, the Set & Forget forex signals & the Intra Day Alerts so i’m going to start from tomorrow.

The reason i think its worthwhile having a look at this particular service provider is that there is a guy on this thread http://www.trade2win.com/boards/us-indices/35620-dow-end-day-signalling-service-43.html
who seems to have been using the signals long term and has provided some of the figures he’s achieved. Looks genuine as well because he’s quite open about the fact that the Swing Signals havent been profitable for him.

Review of the Year - 2009

Just wanted to look back on the good and bad of the services/systems i’ve tried this year.

GOOD
Black Dog Forex Trading - no surprises here. This system is what i expect to be using to generate the majority of my income for the forseeable future. Outstanding system, support & community make Black Dog the best thing i’ve come across in the 2 years i’ve been actively looking for alternative ways to generate an income.

I initially trebled my bank within 2 months using the ‘hi/lo’ method & since changing to a less hectic method i’ve made 488 pips in 7 weeks. Highly recommended.

Price inrease to $297 was due to kick in on the 23rd December but still seems to be allowing you to buy it for $197 @ the moment.

Forex Trades Live - Apart from a dip in October this service has been excellent. They send you signals via text or email with clear instructions which you ’set & leave’ with your broker/spread betting company & thats it. Zero input from you beyond that.

Since August when I became a subscriber the service has generated 1365 pips across the eur/usd & gbp/usd pairs when following the recommended target & stop loss limits. This includes a very rare poor run in October.  Recommended - especially if you want to make some money with no  effort.

Grey Horse Bot - This is the market leading software for automatically placing bets for whilst @ work or whatever. Would be ideal for the ‘Lay the Best’ lays which i’ve been reviewing - but only if the results improve.

Winning Dow Signals - Honourable mention to Winning Dow Signals. They performed well but then had a downturn about the same time I came across Black Dog so i put it to one side.

The service has 3 main offerings - the intra day support & resistance levels, the 9 pm signal & intra day alert signals. They’re all profitable & the guys that run it are very good.

ON THE FENCE

Jurys still out on these - will revisit them in the New Year and see if they improve.

LS Trader - not had a great year by their own admission but after a 1500% gain in 2008 i suppose a slight downturn was inevitable. Lets hope 2010 is an upturn year.

Lay the Best - currently trialling the horse racing lays & keeping an eye on the sports lays. After a superb start the service has had a nightmare 5-6 weeks & is looking at its first losing month for a long time. Still on course for 150 points profit this year so i’ll keep watching next year.

12 pips gain for Black Dog Forex Trading 17.11

1st trade of the week proved to be a loser but fortunately there was another along a few minutes later which went onto gain 22 pips so after the original 10 pip loser i was 12 pips up on the day. This was on the EUR/USD.   edit - JUST OUT OF INTEREST RE THE LOSER - I HAD THE SETTINGS ON ‘AGRESSIVE’ IN ERROR. UNDER MY NORMAL SETTINGS THAT SIGNAL WOULDNT HAVE APPEARED SO SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NO LOSER 22 PIP DAY.

I’ve attached a couple of other charts which show the system in action on other pairs with trades following the rules i’ve developed for trading Black Dog. The USD/CAD peaked at about 100+ pips from an initial risk of about 10 pips and the USD/CHF reached about 70+ pips. I didnt take these by the way i was just seeing how the system was doing on other pairs.
