Been toying with the idea of removing the rule preventing me from trading either side of high impact announcements for some time and decided to go ahead with it today. Whilst it has kept me out of some losing trades over the last 12 months my gut feeling is that its kept me out of more winning trades and with a risk/reward ratio of 1 : 1 I think its definitely worth trialling. It does mean less time off though so it’ll have to be worthwhile!

Anyway a reasonable start - more trades as expected, 6 altogether. we were a bit unlucky with the 8.45 trade as there were 3 potential set ups & i went with the gbp/usd which was the only 1 out of the 3 which which was a loser. Good day though with 40 pips gained.

Didnt trade Wednesday with Black Dog Forex but the last couple of days have produced 28 & 25 pips respectively. 1 more day to go in August and its gone pretty well considering its a month a lot of traders take off. Just shows the strength of this system whichever way you choose to use it.

August still proving to be a struggle but the good news is i’m managing to squeeze a few pips out of a difficult, ranging market. Every system, service or whatever seems to struggle in August due to the lack of any direction caused by thin trading. Should all change in early September when the big traders return from holidays.

Still going in the right direction with Black Dog though - 27 pips gained over Monday and Tuesday.

Been a good couple of days with Black Dog Forex with 120 pips gained. Interesting though that when you ‘zoom out’ and look at the eur/usd & gbp/usd charts for August they’re both moving in a tight range. Pretty much confirms what market commentators always say about August - that you should leave trading alone as the main market movers are on holiday.

Anyway going to keep going with it & , as i said, 120 pips in last couple of days is more than good enough for me.

I didnt trade on Monday but made 53 pips on Tuesday which were all but wiped out with a 52 pip loss today. Difficult trading conditions over last week or so with no real trends forming but still a pip ahead on the week.

Hopefully better day tomorrow and i’ll give details of the trades for the rest of week.

Frustrating day for me with Black Dog Forex yesterday - there were a lot of good set ups which went onto become perfect trades but they were at times when i was out of the market due to high impact news items.

Meanwhile the guy over at cash-master has now made over 1000 pips in 14 trading days with another 96 yesterday & thats just using the more straightforward original Black Dog indicators with very little else on the charts.

Also come across another has made 3877 pips in 3 months again using the original ‘bare bones’ Black Dog system so maybe i need to have a rethink! Just shows that whichever of the 3 options you use when you purchase Black Dog you’ll be ok.

3 trades and 3 winners today for Black Dog Forex - 60 pips profit. Some other nice trends developed as well but either the price didnt bounce off the 15min EA or the MACD lines were in the wrong order so didnt qualify as trades. Bit frustrating but i suppose the rules keep us out of bad trades and i’ll take 60 pips in a day.
