August still proving to be a struggle but the good news is i’m managing to squeeze a few pips out of a difficult, ranging market. Every system, service or whatever seems to struggle in August due to the lack of any direction caused by thin trading. Should all change in early September when the big traders return from holidays.

Still going in the right direction with Black Dog though - 27 pips gained over Monday and Tuesday.

Very nice start to our review of this service - 4 winners and 2 losers in the MLB. Not had a great deal of experience with American sports (apart from the ill-fated Lay The Best trial) but this service provides a .pdf specifically for UK subscribers which explains how & where to place the bets.

In fact one of the UK’s major online bookies BET365 has a full US sports programme so its pretty straightforward. Early days but got a good feeling about this service - had a couple of emails responded to quickly. Very impressive in-depth service but its all about the results and lets just say we’ve started ok.

Been a good couple of days with Black Dog Forex with 120 pips gained. Interesting though that when you ‘zoom out’ and look at the eur/usd & gbp/usd charts for August they’re both moving in a tight range. Pretty much confirms what market commentators always say about August - that you should leave trading alone as the main market movers are on holiday.

Anyway going to keep going with it & , as i said, 120 pips in last couple of days is more than good enough for me.

One of the great things about doing the blog is that people let me know about services or systems they found to be successful and Sports Betting Professor has been recommended to me by a few different people.

Its a US based service which focuses on the NFL, NBA & MLB so covers the whole year. The ‘Platinum’ service includes the systems plus the selections for a 1 off payment but i’ve gone for just receiving the selections which is just $5 for the 1st 30 days then $47 per month. As usual the results look great but lets see what we think after a month of the service before we start staking anything.

Things turn around pretty quickly with this system - during the week the account was down to around $14,500 but a good couple of days has seen it jump to £17,615.27.

There are still some issues that i’m experiencing with the EA opening duplicate trades but i’ve emailed the vendors and hopefully i’ll be able to update that in the next couple of days.

Still not live with it but i’ve sorted out the issues with the WDFX EA ‘trade copier’ so i’m  now going to get the 1min EA uploaded to Gallant FX & let it run on a VPS with a small balance intially.

Comfortable winner for Betting Pro Trades tonight with the bet being to lay the draw in the Celtic v Utrecht game.Just to correct the bank - yesterdays 2 winning trades were staked at £100 per trade so the balance is should have been £47 more than listed. Now corrected.

 The 2 trades from yesterday traded out as winners even though the events (England v Pakistand & Werder Bremen v Sampdoria) so that takes the bank up to £1269.25  - nearly 27% gain in 2 weeks.

The winning streak reached 8 for Betting Pros but it had to end sometime and we’ve actually had 4 losers since the last update. Still very much ahead overall though & we had 2 longer term bets which were placed today and are already looking pretty good.

I didnt trade on Monday but made 53 pips on Tuesday which were all but wiped out with a 52 pip loss today. Difficult trading conditions over last week or so with no real trends forming but still a pip ahead on the week.

Hopefully better day tomorrow and i’ll give details of the trades for the rest of week.
