Just wanted to look back on the good and bad of the services/systems i’ve tried this year.

GOOD
Black Dog Forex Trading - no surprises here. This system is what i expect to be using to generate the majority of my income for the forseeable future. Outstanding system, support & community make Black Dog the best thing i’ve come across in the 2 years i’ve been actively looking for alternative ways to generate an income.

I initially trebled my bank within 2 months using the ‘hi/lo’ method & since changing to a less hectic method i’ve made 488 pips in 7 weeks. Highly recommended.

Price inrease to $297 was due to kick in on the 23rd December but still seems to be allowing you to buy it for $197 @ the moment.

Forex Trades Live - Apart from a dip in October this service has been excellent. They send you signals via text or email with clear instructions which you ’set & leave’ with your broker/spread betting company & thats it. Zero input from you beyond that.

Since August when I became a subscriber the service has generated 1365 pips across the eur/usd & gbp/usd pairs when following the recommended target & stop loss limits. This includes a very rare poor run in October.  Recommended - especially if you want to make some money with no  effort.

Grey Horse Bot - This is the market leading software for automatically placing bets for whilst @ work or whatever. Would be ideal for the ‘Lay the Best’ lays which i’ve been reviewing - but only if the results improve.

Winning Dow Signals - Honourable mention to Winning Dow Signals. They performed well but then had a downturn about the same time I came across Black Dog so i put it to one side.

The service has 3 main offerings - the intra day support & resistance levels, the 9 pm signal & intra day alert signals. They’re all profitable & the guys that run it are very good.

ON THE FENCE

Jurys still out on these - will revisit them in the New Year and see if they improve.

LS Trader - not had a great year by their own admission but after a 1500% gain in 2008 i suppose a slight downturn was inevitable. Lets hope 2010 is an upturn year.

Lay the Best - currently trialling the horse racing lays & keeping an eye on the sports lays. After a superb start the service has had a nightmare 5-6 weeks & is looking at its first losing month for a long time. Still on course for 150 points profit this year so i’ll keep watching next year.

Just found out that the Black Dog Forex Trading System will rise to $297 from midnight 23rd December.  Only reason i know is that i was testing the link i have from this blog to the Black Dog site and the announcement is at the top of the page.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before the decision was made to increase the price as most people who buy the system and support service are always telling the author Dave he’s not charging enough for it.

It also states there are no new members being accepted until the 17th January 2010 - think this will be because he always wants to be available for new members to talk directly to him (usually via Skype) about any issues they have or just for some live trades. If hes’ on holiday he wont be available so isnt accepting any new members until then.

Even @ $297 its still brilliant value for money - a system that works plus a support service thats so good its worth the current cost of the system as a monthly fee.

If you were considering getting the Black Dog I would strongly recommend you get it in the next 24 hrs - it may be a sales pitch but from what i know about Dave & his business i doubt it.

6 consecutive winning lays has improved the situation a bit but the sports bets are still struggling. Still a long way to go to get back in the black.

Took a trade on the eur/usd off the 3pm candle this afternoon - did look a bit dodgy at one stage as the trade was 20+ pips down but i stuck to my rules and it turned out to be a 20 pip winner in the end.

Was tempted to trade the signal off the 7.30am candle but it was too far away from the 50’s channels so didnt. Considering trading this type of signal with a lower take profit amount ie 10 or 15 pips, if its close enough to the blue 15 emas to give a decent ‘get out’ level.

Quick update on this service. Straight to the point - the horse racing side of the service has lost £620.97 for me in the last couple of weeks and i think the sports betting side has done worse. Not going to list the details but heres the current situation.

Early trade on the eur/usd yesterday - text book trade really, everything in place. Again went for the full amount off @ 20 pips due to school run but it did go on to be a 120+ pips trade at one point.

slightly tweaking the rules to be more (i hope) on the safe side in that i’m only taking trades now when the blue 15 ema line is clear of the 50’s. my original rule was ‘clear or nearly clear’ but i wasnt really happy with that as was the only slightly ambiguous part of my trading. now everythings either black or white.

Another 20 pips 1st thing this morning - signal came on the 7.15 am candle and the 20 pip target was reached during the 7.30 candle.

not the greatest looking set up when the mtf3 signal appeared but there was just enough movement to pick up the 20 pips. the rest of the day was a bit messy on cable and the e/u so left it alone.

Pretty much as you were with Forex Trades Live - had 2 losers to start the month but 3 winners have recovered those losses to leave us still at 154 pips ahead. Interestingly using the fixed stop of 50 pips would have had us another 78 pips up.

Meanwhile on the gbp/usd the service is having another positive month following Novembers profits with the 32, 72 & 100 pip targets 33, 225 & 237 pips in profit respectively.

As has been previously said about this service it consistently makes profits & if you’d followed the recommended profit targets (which are 32 pips for eur/usd & 72 pips for gbp/usd) you would have made 1369 pips in the last 6 months which includes a poor October for the gbp/usd.

You basically get between 1 & 3 texts a day with trade instructions which you ’set & leave’ with whoever you use to place your trades ( ig index in my case) & leave it. No charts, no manual - highly recommended income generator for literally 5 minutes ‘work’ a day. Think they’re still doing the 14 day free trial as well.
