Heres a few recent Crude Oil trades - the alarm goes off at the close of the 1 hour candle which has the green price tag on it (buy) & i enter the trade once the new candle has passed the top (buy - would be the bottom of sell trade) of the previous candle (including wick).

Again there are a few different ways to manage these trades - you could set a proft target of 100 pips, you could move your stop loss to break even or better once the trade goes 100 pips etc to the good, to lock some profits in.

This trade was less straightforward as the market went 250 pips to the good but then reversed to hit the stop loss.

There are a few different ways to manage these trades - you could set a proft target of 100 pips,  you could move your stop loss to break even or better once the trade goes 100 pips etc to the good, to lock some profits in.

I havent been trading Black Dog Forex this week - just taken a week off to look at other stuff. I’ve done some back-testing on the Oil & Gold markets using the MTF3 indicators on the 1hr charts with the Black Dog software.

It produced lots of winning trades but the crucial thing is getting the stop losses & take profits levels right & i’m still looking at that.

The trade below was earlier this week on Gold - it went onto make around 670 pips using the MTF3 exit rules. This was an exceptional move, obviously, with Gold reaching all time record levels but does show how this Black Dog indicator flags up the trades.

I’m going to put up other charts but will have to put them on separate posts as they dont seem to want to display right on the same post.

5 pips loss overall today for Black Dog but would have been an early finish for a 20/30 pip target and i think thats the way to go for me.

Quick update on the progress of the FX Crossover system - had a bit of a mixed run in September but still well ahead since the start of the trial though so we’ll keep going and hopefully get on a the same kind of long winning run we’ve had previously with the system. It finished the month strongly, especially the gbp/usd, so hopefully thats the way it’ll continue.
